Study Carrels

Study carrels were originally designed to help students focus more on their work and offer them less distractions by closing off their peripheral visions. They have proved to be an excellent option for those who are easily distracted but needs to have a focused workspace. As one would expect, these have naturally found their way into exams, especially those for IT and computer sciences.

Although the term study carrel desk isn’t necessarily well known, most people would have come across them many times, mainly in school but oft times in libraries. The give the user the privacy they need to be able to concentrate or to keep their work away from prying eyes. Whilst not the most popular item in our catalogue, when required, they are one of the most important.

Our Range

As you would imagine, there aren’t hundreds of these on the market, but there are a few. Looking at our available options, we decided to stock the Monarch range of products. This is because they offer everything one could want from a study booth. There is a choice of straight legs or cantilever legs, both give the user plenty of leg room. Constructed with a strong 18mm MFC, they feature a beech finish and a light grey metal frame. With plenty of space to work within, they also carry a five-year guarantee.

School Libraries

Quite often you will find that a school library offers a student another place to study outside of study times and school hours. Carrel desks give students the space and privacy that they may not be able to get at home or in the playground.
